Made by the very sorely missed Star Productions of Birkenhead , these beautiful pond yachts typified the seaside for many kids including me. Seen with their sails fluttering outside promenade kiosks and town toy shops , you knew you were at the seaside. Usually the SY series up to SY5 were commonly seen , but Star made other series too ; MK , BR and SB amongst others. I suppose these were considered too expensive to sell to the seaside holidaymakers. Iconic and beautiful yachts.
